July 1915. Unknown extremists assassinate prince Fred, the son and successor of Rudolf III Rosenkranz. Emperor of the Huno-Nezitan Empire. The circumstances point to the involvement of Nepodonian officials and despite Tsar Dolan Bravo’s denial of those claims, his cousin refuses to back down and soon war breaks out.

First shots were fired in September that very same year. The Tsar rallies his people to take up arms and fight the invaders with all they can, and so begins the great defense. Field Marshal Franz Frankson calls upon his best officers to take command of his troops, and so, echoing the Nepo-Lawrentian wars and the Remark Civil War of years past, in the name of national pride, defense of what they love that is behind them, for the Tsar or personal glory, the doughboys come marching in.

So begins the war on the Neponezikan front. God willing, those brave boys will be home by the holiday season.
